History of Youth Pledge Day
The Youth Pledge (Indonesian: Sumpah Pemuda) was a declaration made on 28 October 1928 by young Indonesian nationalists in the Second Youth Congress. They proclaimed three ideals, one motherland, one nation and one language.[1]
The first Indonesian youth congress was held in Batavia, capital of the then-Dutch East Indies in 1926. It produced no formal decisions but did promote the idea of a united Indonesia.
In October 1928, the second Indonesian youth congress was held at three different locations. In the first session, the hope was expressed that the congress would inspire the feeling of unity. The second session saw discussions about educational issues. In the third and final session, held at Jalan Kramat Raya No, 106, on October 28 participants closed with a reading of the youth pledge which proclaim one motherland, one nation and one language.

Thirdly
We the sons and daughters of Indonesia, respect the language of unity, Indonesian Languange.
At this day, the future Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya is first time played by W. R. Supratman
How it is celebrated?
The celebration of youth pledge day is to remind how great the youth roles as an agent of change, that can bring united Indonesia. Main venue of celebration are Youth Pledge Museum wheres the pledge take placed.
On this day, the public school will held morning ceremony and student will come to school with their traditional cloth.
