France Singapore Festival Voilah! is coming back from 3 October to 17 November 2019!

Voilah! is more than a showcase of French culture and innovation in Singapore, it is a true collaboration bringing together two countries to create a truly unique festival. To strengthen the ties between French and Singaporean communities, the Festival will present over 50 programmes in the domains of culture, education, science, lifestyle, tourism and sports.
We invite all curious minds to dare and explore how French culture can interconnect and flourish in the melting pot of cultures that Singapore represents.

Featuring original drawings and manuscripts from Pierre-Médard Diard and Alfred Duvaucel

An Old New World, the National Museum’s bicentennial-themed exhibition, explores the 200 years leading to the establishment of Singapore in 1819, beginning with the bustling world of trade in the East Indies that attracted the Dutch and British East India Companies from the early 17th century.


French Science Journey

The French Science Journey gathers students and Singapore-based French companies in a convivial format of an all-day program of short presentations and a booth exhibition presenting innovation from research laboratories. This presents an unparalleled showcase of French technological “savoir-faire” and innovation, where students and academic and industrial scientists alike can mingle and network in an informal setting. Students will be offered the opportunity to take part in an innovation challenge and deepen their interest in science. In 2018, more than 20 companies and 350 students attended this event.

The Foundation for the Arts and Social Enterprise is proud to present Guy-Marc Vadeleux (GMX, piano), in two nights of the concert with Daniel Dantin (drums) and Jacobo Velez (clarinet and saxophone). Steeped in jazz with strong Caribbean influences, GMX has been hailed as one of the most talented pianists of the new music scene in Martinique. He comes together with two of his musical accomplices to showcase new and original work that was born through their exchanges. This will be the trio’s first performance in Singapore. In a double-billed evening, Singapore’s very own Steve McQueens will also bring their neo future jazz sound to the stage.
