“Throughout my career I have remained true to my musical roots and more importantly to my sense of what DJing, music and clubs should be about… Music, friendship, escape, glamour and sensuality.”

Named after one of the most iconic Jazz musicians of the 20th Century, it’s not surprising that Miles Slater started DJ’ing at the young age of 15. The year was 1994 and the young Londoner soon graduated to the airwaves with a set on one of the city’s long-running pirate radio stations, Flex 103.6FM, showcasing up-front U.K. and U.S. House/Garage tracks. Regular bookings at clubs in the Greater London area and beyond soon followed, plus guest slots on other radio stations. Making the natural progression into producing music, he went on to write and produce numerous tracks which were released into London’s underground scene and received airplay on London’s biggest commercial radio stations at the time: Kiss 100FM and Choice 96.9FM. They were also regularly heard in clubs and across the airwaves of London’s legendary pirate radio stations.

Success in the UK scene wasn’t enough however, and the search for a new challenge led him far away from the streets of London.

Based in Hong Kong since 2005, Miles Slater specialises in Music Directing & DJing at high-end venues throughout Asia where the clientele appreciate fine cuisine and even finer wines, so the music needs to match. Naturally the music policy implemented in these roles closely follows his personal principles as does the level of professionalism exhibited by the team of DJ’s he assembles for each venue. Having performed alongside some of the World’s greatest exponents of DJing (and music in general) during his career, Miles can call on a phenomenal bank of knowledge and experience..Afrojack (DJ Mag Top 10 & Global EDM superstar), DJ Snake (#1 hit producer “Turn Down For What” & “Get Low”), Rudimental (BRIT and MOBO award winners), Fatboy Slim, Shortee Blitz (Kiss 100FM), Paul Oakenfold, Klingande, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Ferry Corsten, Aly & Fila, Borgore, Morgan Page, Seb Fontaine, Sander Kleinenberg, DJ EROK (official Red Bull F1 team global DJ), Sister Bliss (Faithless), Redfoo and 8ky 6lu (members of #1 hit act LMFAO), Juicy M, Big Syphe (Pitbull Producer and Official Tour DJ), Dimitri From Paris, Norman Jay MBE, Jazzie B & Soul II Soul, Peter Kruder (Kruder & Dorfmeister), Derrick May, Satoshi Tomiie, Dirty Vegas (Grammy award winners), Joey Negro, Nicky Siano (original Studio 54 NYC resident), Eric Kupper (Def Mix), Lisa Loud, Andrea T Mendoza (Billionaire Nightclub), Rocco Rodamaal, Derrick McKenzie (drummer of Jamiroquai), Kiko Navarro (Pacha Ibiza), Toshio Matsuura (UFO Japan) and many more. The list is endless!

“Now many years, many mixes, many late nights and a few fuzzy mornings later, I am still 100% true to my musical roots. Simply great music from Deep to Dancefloor with an Open-Format twist!”
