Originally formed in 2010, Tessera is Singapore’s premier all-female modern jazz ensemble, showcasing an eclectic collaboration of musical minds and a singular artistic vision.

Tessera draws their influences from the provocative, progressive and outspoken nature of its members. At their maiden Esplanade appearance in 2011, Tessera thrilled audiences with a multimedia performance, airing self-produced videos accompanied by their cleverly unique originals.

Tessera now comprises pianist Sharon Nunis, bassist Wendy Phua, violinist Yap Shu Mei, and drummer/vocalist Audrey Tang. After a four-year hiatus, they reunite and collaborate with guest guitarist Chua Chia Hui to bring audiences on a musical adventure of originals, re-interpretations of familiar folk songs, jazz and movie themes.
