This year’s edition marks Namibia returning to the tournament since 2012 where they will be looking to improve on their third-place finish 7 years ago. 2017 Nations Cup Champions, Cook Islands are back in Singapore and will be looking for a repeat performance of taking home the Winners’ Cup. Along with Namibia, joining them from the African region is Botswana who is bringing a strong and resolute side to Singapore despite their drop in the world rankings from 2018. Papua New Guinea will be returning to this year’s tournament and it will be their eighth appearance at the M1 Nations Cup. They finished runners up in 2015 and 2016 so will be focused on taking the top spot this year.
