Open five days a week, Fridays and Saturdays feature the best international headliners whilst weekdays see everything from showcases to open-mics, from improv comedy to spoken word.

With regular shows throughout December and January, Jinx Yeo: Remixed features brand new material plus some of the greatest hits, remixed!

Nominated for Best Comedy at the Fringe World Awards 2018, Jinx's hard-hitting punchlines, effortless delivery, and witty material earned him a first-runner up spot at the 2011 Hong Kong International Comedy Competition and a Finalist spot in the America Meet World Global Comedy Competition (2014).

Comedy Central Asia’s ‘Comedian of the Month in June 2015, Jinx has also featured on Channel 5’s Ok Chope as well as ABC TV’s Comedy Up Late. Learn how to do stand-up comedy in one weekend of intensive learning with The Merry Lion's very own Aidan Killian!
From basics in public speaking to building and releasing tension in an audience, come join this once in a lifetime opportunity where a master comedian shows you not only how to be funny, but how to make a mark on your audiences.
Spread across three days, this workshop culminates in a live performance where participants put themselves to the test in front of a live audience!
At an affordable $250, this workshop is a surefire way to learn the ins and outs of the funny business, and maybe unleash something in you that you never knew you had!

About Aidan Killian

A passion-driven ex-banker that used to teach comedy, story-telling, and public speaking at the Gaiety School in Ireland, Aidan Killian is a master performer with over 10 years of experience in stand-up comedy.
A regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Aidan was a 'Highlight' at the 2016 Glastonbury Festival and was nominated for Best Comedian at the 2017 World Fringe in Perth, Australia.
Showrunner of Asia's largest comedy festival - the Magners International Comedy Fest - Aidan is a brilliant comedian and inspiring teacher, the perfect combination for a weekend of hilarity.

Having performed stand-up in over 43 countries and four cruise ships, Dave Thompson’s deadpan one-liners and absurd persona have seen him gigging for over 20 years! Dave was also, yes this is true, for being fired from the role of Tinky Winky in the world-famous children’s TV show, Teletubbies!

He’s opened for the likes of Harry Hill, Ronnie Corbett, Bruce Forsyth, Ben Elton, Phil Nichol, Omid Djalili, Stewart Lee, and Jim Tavare!

Dave has acted in four feature films. He played Dave the comedian in ‘Maybe Baby’, written and directed by Ben Elton, and the porn star in ‘I Want Candy’, directed by Stephen Surgit (unfortunately his scene didn’t make the final edit). Dave’s third film ‘Huge’, was directed by Ben Miller and was released in July 2011. His fourth film is ‘Harry Hill – The Movie’. It was released in December 2013 and stars Harry Hill, Julie Walters, and Matt Lucas.

Greg Larsen is a multi-award-winning Australian comedian and writer who has written for, and appeared on numerous TV shows including: Ronny Chieng: International Student, Get Krack!n, Fancy Boy (2017 AWGIE award winner), and was a presenter on the satirical news show Tonightly with Tom Ballard on the ABC.

Greg has also spent over a decade as a live performer and stand-up comic, and has won awards for his live shows Fancy Boy Variety Show, and True Australian Patriots at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He also makes up one third of the hit sketch comedy podcast: The Grub, with fellow comics Anne Edmonds and Ben Russell.

Greg is currently touring in promotion of his new 2020 live show: This Might Not Be Hell, which has received the prestigious Moosehead Award.

Having firmly established himself as one of the golden boys of the Malaysian comedy circuit, Papi Zak just happens to be the biggest comedian in Malaysia - by size.

Writing and performing stand-up comedy for over 12 years, he brings a quirky brand of humour to Koh Samui, with witty observations on the absurdities of everyday life, Papi Zak has worked in the production of various TVCs as well as on LiteFM and RedFM (Malaysia).

Tremendous in more than one way, Papi Zak's unique comedic stylings are enjoyed by people of all ages.
