The Japan Summer Festival held in conjunction with Sports Hub Community Play Day returns to the National Stadium with bigger and better line-up of fun, food and activities. Visitors can get to experience true Japan right at this immersive cultural exchange event with over 100 authentic Japanese stalls, Pokemon Carnival, Pikachu Dance Parade, all-day stage performances, traditional Bon-Odori dance, Yukata try-out and many more.

J-Pop Fitness Dance Jam

Lead by Singapore based Japanese instructors, the J-Pop Fitness Dance Jam is a fusion of Japan pop-culture and fitness workout choregraph for both the Japanese and local community.
Yukata Dressing Corner
3PM onwards
Don the customary Japanese costumes – the Yukata!
Volunteers will be on-site to assist with the try-outs!
Stage Performances
3PM to 6.45PM
Enjoy an immersive experience of exciting performances showcased on stage.
Japanese-themed Game Booths
3PM to 9PM
Just like an authentic Matsuri, there will also be light-hearted games that will test your luck and precision, such as Yo-Yo Tsuri (fish for your favourite balloon!), Senbonbiki (you win if you pull the lucky string), and Shateki (Gun-shooting) a game where you can target the prize and shoot at it.

Dance the Bon-Odori!
6.30PM to 8.30PM
Generally held during the Obon (honouring the spirits of ancestors) period, the Bon-Odori is a festive dance performed to instruments such as traditional taiko drums.
