IWA Games Club:  De-stressing brain-stimulating fun club!

Playing makes you more positive and productive. Enhances cognitive function and decision making, and helps create lasting bonds.  Board games transcend generations and are all-inclusive. It demands engagement and attentiveness.  It’s a way to digital detox.

Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday |  Indian Women’s Association Singapore

At IWA Games Club, we play a variety of board games such as Mahjong, Bridge, Scrabble, etc. which are not only fun but also stimulates the brain.  These strategic games exhilarate you every time you win a hand.  Playing games also improve coordination, attention, concentration, memory, problem-solving skills and is a great source of learning.

2019 was a banner year for IWA Games Club.  We added Bridge and Sequence to our list of favorites and these have now joined Mahjong as Games Club staples.  We also tried out and learned new games brought by members throughout the year.  During the year, Games Club joined hands with Acts of Kindness Club to treat senior citizens at Carelight Wellness Center to games, prizes, and yummy food prepared by members.   The year ended with Games Bash, organized by Manju, it was a smashing success with full-house attendance.  There was the game-themed decor, a hat competition that brought out individual creativity, lots of different games, and delicious food. “We feasted… We frolicked… We flaunted our fashionable flair…  and had a blast!  “

IWA Games Club meets twice every month on the first and third Wednesday mornings.  We meet at members’ places, play a variety of games and finish with lunch.

So join us and Let the Games Begin!
