Generation M explores the inner workings of six personalities as they share stories and memories, from their earliest brushes with music to the influences that shaped their sound.

Find out more about the adventures of Malay pop queen Rahimah Rahim, fusion forerunner Mohamed Raffee, country rocker Mel Ferdinands, hardcore giant Suhaimi Subandie, existential metalhead Kathir and jazz pianist Aya Sekine. Through audio, photographs and personal effects from their past, they go back to their roots while sharing what it’s like being in music for the long haul. Presented by Esplanade Offstage , this exhibition is about what makes the creative juices flow, as well as the little joys of music-making that have made all the difference.
