Gallop Stable currently runs 2 stables in Singapore (Horsecity @ Bukit Timah and Pasir Ris Park). We offer a variety of horse-related activities such as riding lessons, pony rides and feeding, trail rides, riding camps and many more for everyone, young and old to enjoy!
Gallop Stable started from humble beginnings in 2003 at Pasir Ris Park with 13 friendly ponies. Our journey began when we realised the lack of opportunities for the public to enjoy horses and horse riding. Hence, since our opening, Gallop Stable has provided affordable riding and an easier way for everyone to be close to horses and ponies without worrying about membership fees, monthly subscriptions and royal costs.
With increasing demand over the years, Gallop has since expanded to Bukit Timah at the former turf club stables incorporating more riding arenas and over 200 stables, currently one of the largest public riding centres in Singapore.
From racing to riding Most of Gallop Stable’s resident horses are ex-racehorses who came to Gallop for a second chance at life. Many of us may not be aware but countless of young and healthy racehorses, most due to their lack of ability and some from injury are retired from racing every year. With no home to go to and of no more use to their current owners, these horses usually face dire possibilities.
Gallop Stable gives these horses a second chance at life by retraining them for riding activities and bringing joy to all our students and riders at Gallop Stable. Horses that are not fit for riding activities some due to injuries from racing or those with unsuitable demeanour are also given a home here and enjoy their days out in pasture and getting cuddles for the staff and customers at Gallop.
