Jamaican legends Toots and the Maytals, the group that coined the term “reggae”, have been grooving audiences across the world since the 1960s. They are also credited as a key player in popularising the reggae genre. The band, led by Frederick “Toots” Hibbert, has been a proven mainstream success over and again – with Vogue magazine including 54-46 Was My Number in its list of 15 Roots Reggae Songs You Should Know, and the band featuring at iconic festivals like Coachella in the USA and Glastonbury in the UK. Toots and the Maytals have also made appearances on Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

J.S. Ondara is a singer-songwriter based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya - His music is largely inspired Bob Dylan and Neil Young. The largely self-taught musician with his distinct emotive singing and narrative lyrics will wow with songs like “Saying Goodbye” and “American Dream” from his album “Tales of America”.

Wolfgang Flür [Ex-Kraftwerk]

Electronic music fans will recognize a familiar “robot pop”, krautrock style from the MusikSoldat (music soldier) set by Wolfgang Flür (Ex‑Kraftwerk). The German’s audio-visual show will feature videos and rare images from his time as the percussionist of electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk, as well as Flür’s signature mix of tech-house and electro tunes.

International superstars Swedish House Mafia announced their return at the end of 2018 and will bring their incredible live show to the Padang Stage on 20 September in Zone 4. Swedish House Mafia consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso are the trio behind global hits such as “Don’t You Worry Child”, “Save The World” and “One (Your Name)”.

Known for seamlessly fusing electro-rock elements with anthemic pop melodies, the sound of The Ramona Flowers is compared to the likes of their musical influences, Phoenix and M83. Consisting of guitarist Sam James, bassist Wayne Jones, keyboardist/guitarist Dave Betts, drummer Ed Gallimore and vocalist Steve Bird, the indie-synth quintet serve up a feast for the senses with their brand of moody, electronic music as seen in their three albums, Dismantle (2012), Lust and Lies (2013) as well as Dismantle and Rebuild (2014).

Set to make their debut in Singapore, popular American roots band Larkin Poe is fronted by sisters Rebecca and Megan Lovell. The four-piece band’s music is Southern American-inspired with big toe-tapping guitar riffs and catchy harmonies and was named the best discovery at the Glastonbury festival in 2014. Their critically acclaimed new album, Venom & Faith, has been regarded as a beguiling mix of Gothic soul and outlaw country. From Rebecca’s powerful vocals on “Ain’t Gonna Cry” to Megan’s sultry lap steel on “Good And Gone”, the sisters weave their talents into the fabric of their experience and a picture of the American South. “Blue Ridge Mountains” harkens to the sisters’ hometown, “drinking sweet tea every day” with stomping percussion and churning riffs. Larkin Poe infuses pop sensibilities into their sound, blending old-school elements of rock and soul with drum samples, hip-hop production values, that will have fans in Singapore dancing in Zone 1 (21 Sept) and Zone 4 (22 Sept) of the Circuit Park.

Lighthouse Family

British musical duo Lighthouse Family, made up of vocalist Tunde Baiyewu and producer/keyboardist Paul Tucker, are making their return in 2019 after nearly two decades with their fourth album ‘Blue Sky In Your Head’. One of the biggest British bands of the 1990s, the easy-listening pop and soul group rose to fame with hit singles Lifted, Ocean Drive and High. Prior to their sold-out United Kingdom tour, the duo will be performing in select Asian cities, including at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in Singapore.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS

Indelible punk rock legends – Californian rock band, Red Hot Chili Peppers marked an era with their trademark confection of rock, funk, and punk. With three Grammys under their belt, Red Hot Chili Peppers also holds the record for the most #1 hits in Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart.
