Watch Science comes alive through the performance of our lively Science Buskers at the Science Buskers Festival.
The buskers come together and vie for your vote as they compete to win the champion title of this competition.

The Science Buskers Festival encompasses the idea of developing the individual’s communication skills through expressions of science in creative manners. Organized as a competition, this event serves as an excellent platform to spread key messages relating to the importance of inspiring an interest in science. During the competition, contestants will do a “show-and-tell” on any science topic, and judging will be based on audiences’ votes and judges’ scores.

Eddie Goldstein’s Magical Math and Science Show is the perfect way to turn kids and adults on to science.This show will provide a unique combination of scientific demonstrations, intriguing explanations, and sleight of hand magic. Not only will you learn some science, you will have fun, fun, fun.


2D STACK ART WORKSHOP

What comes to mind when 2D is mentioned? Did you know that by stacking 2D surfaces, we can achieve very interesting 3D structures?

This workshop focuses on a very simple concept – 2D stack – that has many applications in the various industries, namely architecture, construction, exhibits and materials engineering. Combined with mathematical concepts, an array of interesting 3D art pieces can be created easily by you.

Bring your own laptop installed with LibreCAD 2.1.X for the workshop!

TANGRAM AND PACKAGING WORKSHOP

Paper packaging is pervasive in our everyday lives, from gifts to everyday products. It has also evolved into an art form, without the use of adhesive tape and glue.

Participants will learn the basics of 2D CAD and design their own Tangram and packaging to go along with it. The concepts and considerations for packaging design will also be discussed during the workshop.

Witness energy work in action, from elastic to gravitational, kinetic to chemical, see some fiery and maybe even explosive demonstrations of what energy is and how it affects our lives.

Explore the different types of energy stores, and how each of them can do work. From flaming butane bubbles to exploding tin cans, we look at the movement of energy from one store to another, underlining the notion that energy cannot be created or destroyed.
